Dmitry Sinkovsky after a triumph with Joyce DiDonato is geting back to the Hong Kong Arts festival

The annual Hong Kong Arts Festival has been held since 1973, and each year it expands in size and scope. Its ‘norm’ is to present from 130-150 shows and concerts in the course of just over a month (this year the Festival runs from 27 February to 29 March).

This is not the Sinkovsky's first visit to the Hong Kong Arts Festival. Il Pomo d’Oro, directed by Dmitry Sinkovsky, with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato has already given performances at the Hong Kong Arts Festival in 2015. She sang many of the baroque arias, including rarely-heard arias by Giacomelli, Cesti, Orlandini and Porta. Il Pomo d'Oro is directed by Dmitry Sinkovsky on violin, who performed Vivaldi’s concerto ‘per Pisendel’. Today, three years later, Dmitry Sinkovsky with the Belgian baroque orchestra B’Rock presents the programme of Vivaldi and a number of his contemporaries. Read more
